BOUND [2025]는 일상에서 편안하게 앉고, 기대고, 눕는 다양한 자세에서 출발한 모듈러 소파이다. 바닥에 앉아 소파에 등을 기대는 익숙한 생활 방식을 포함하여, 몸이 공간 안에서 자연스럽게 머무는 방식을 디자인의 주요 모티브로 삼았다.

21도로 기울어진 등받이는 몸을 안정적으로 받쳐주며, 모듈러 구조를 통해 사용자의 생활 방식과 공간의 크기에 따라 유연하게 확장된다. BOUND는 1인 가구의 증가와 좁아진 주거 환경 속에서도 과하지 않으면서 빈약하지 않은 균형 잡힌 형태를 제안한다.

이는 검소하지만 누추하지 않고, 화려하지만 사치스럽지 않다는 '검이불루 화이불치'의 태도와 맞닿아 있다. BOUND는 공간을 과하게 점유하기보다 몸의 쉼을 받아들이고, 일상에 자연스럽게 놓이는 알맞은 소파를 지향한다.

BOUND [2025] is a modular sofa developed from everyday postures of sitting, leaning, and lying down. It begins with familiar domestic gestures, including the habit of sitting on the floor while resting against a sofa, and translates the way the body naturally stays within a space into the main design motif.

The backrest, tilted at 21 degrees, supports the body with stability, while the modular structure allows the sofa to expand according to different lifestyles and spatial conditions. In response to the rise of single-person households and increasingly compact living spaces, BOUND proposes a balanced form that is neither excessive nor insufficient.

The project is connected to the attitude of being humble but never shabby, and refined but never extravagant. Rather than occupying space with force, BOUND receives the body at rest and seeks to become a sofa that settles naturally into everyday life.
